This Privacy Policy describes how Saylah ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our platform at saylah.ai. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with care.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.

Company profile: Business name, phone, email, website, logo, brand colors, services offered, testimonials, certifications, and other details you enter to configure your account.

Quote data: Client names, contact information, project details, pricing, and notes you enter when creating quotes. This data is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate quote content.

Payment information: Billing details are collected and stored by Stripe. We never store your full credit card number.

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, browser type, IP address, and other standard analytics data.

Uploaded files: Logos and inspiration images you upload for use in quotes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Saylah platform
• To generate AI-powered quote content based on the data you provide
• To send transactional emails (quote view and acceptance notifications)
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support
• To monitor for fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers as necessary to operate Saylah:

• Anthropic — Your quote inputs (company info, client details, project description) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate quote content. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — We use Supabase for database storage, user authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud infrastructure.
• Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management. Your billing information is handled directly by Stripe and governed by their Privacy Policy.
• Resend — We use Resend to deliver email notifications (quote viewed, quote accepted) to your account email address.

4. Client Data

As a Saylah user, you may input your clients' personal information (names, email addresses, phone numbers) when creating quotes. You are responsible for having appropriate legal basis to process and share this data with us. We store this data securely and use it only to provide the quoting service. We do not contact your clients directly.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Quote data is retained indefinitely unless you delete it. If you cancel your account, we will retain your data for 30 days before deletion, giving you time to export it. You may request immediate deletion by emailing team@saylah.ai.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and secure authentication. However, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

7. Cookies and Tracking

Saylah uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session and improve the user experience. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling cookies may affect functionality.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

9. Children's Privacy

Saylah is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Saylah after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
